PROGRAM SERVICES
Personalized Guidance
We offer academic, career, AND personal counseling to help students learn more about themselves.
Legislation Assistance
We provide guidance and assistance regarding federal, state, and county policies/legislation as they pertain to CalWORKs students.
Social Services
We liaison with the Department of Social Services to ensure students meet welfare-to-work requirements, while still being able to access necessary support services.
Financial Support
We offer CalWORKs students financial support through gas & meal cards as well as school supplies.
Childcare Funding
We help with childcare funding for both on & off campus childcare.
Work-Studies
CalWORKs students have access to on-campus work opportunities, allowing students to gain employement experience.
Resource Referrals
We offer referrals to both ON & OFF campus resources, such as:
- Housing
- Food & Shopping
- Utility Assistance
- Mental Health
- Shelters
- and MORE
Workshops & Events
We host informative workshops and events designed to help students succeed.
PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Parents as well as children must be receiving county cash aid (i.e., parents who are no longer receiving cash aid and are only receiving cash aid for their children are not eligible);
- Must be able to provide proof of program eligibility via county documentation in order to receive CalWORKs program services;
- Enrolled or plan to enroll to attend Fullerton College and/or North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE) courses
- No unit minimum required.
